FNAF Security Breach - Complete Guide

📅 Published: February 4, 2026  |  ⏱️ 12 min read  |  🏢 Walkthrough & Guide

FNAF: Security Breach is a massive departure from the classic FNAF formula. Instead of sitting in an office, you're exploring a huge pizza mega-plex as Gregory, a kid trapped overnight in Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. With Glamrock Freddy as your ally, you need to survive until 6 AM while avoiding hostile animatronics, uncovering secrets, and choosing your ending.

This guide covers everything: all animatronics, Freddy upgrades, every ending, and survival strategies to help you escape the Pizzaplex.

Meet the Animatronics

🐻 Glamrock Freddy — YOUR ALLY

For the first time in FNAF history, Freddy Fazbear is on YOUR side. Gregory can hide inside Freddy's stomach compartment to avoid other animatronics. Freddy has a battery that drains while you're inside him — recharge at charging stations throughout the Pizzaplex. Freddy can also be upgraded with parts from defeated animatronics.

🐔 Glamrock Chica — The Kitchen Hunter

Chica roams the Pizzaplex eating trash and pizza. She's aggressive but can be distracted by throwing food items. She patrols kitchen areas and dining rooms most frequently. Her voicebox is one of Freddy's key upgrades.

🐊 Montgomery Gator (Monty) — The Brute

Monty is the most aggressive animatronic. He charges through obstacles and is hard to avoid in open areas. He patrols Monty Golf and the lower levels. His claws become a crucial Freddy upgrade that lets you break through security gates.

🐺 Roxanne Wolf (Roxy) — The Tracker

Roxy can detect Gregory through walls using her special eyes. She's fast and patrols Roxy Raceway. Her eyes are the most important Freddy upgrade, allowing you to see hidden items and pathways through walls.

☀️🌙 Daycare Attendant (Sun/Moon)

This dual-personality animatronic is friendly as Sun (in the light) but becomes the terrifying Moon when lights go out. Moon chases you relentlessly in the dark. The Daycare is one of the most memorable areas in the game.

🐰 Vanny — The Human Threat

Vanny is a human wearing a rabbit costume, controlled by the remnants of William Afton. She appears at scripted moments and is the main story antagonist. She's connected to the larger FNAF lore.

Freddy's Upgrades

Defeating certain animatronics gives Freddy powerful upgrades that open new areas:

🎤

Chica's Voicebox

Stun other animatronics with a sonic blast. Essential for escaping tight situations.

🦎

Monty's Claws

Break through chain-link fences and security gates. Opens many new areas.

👀

Roxy's Eyes

See hidden items, pathways, and messages through walls. Required for the true ending.

💡 Upgrade Order Recommendation

The optimal upgrade order is: Chica's Voicebox → Monty's Claws → Roxy's Eyes. The voicebox gives you a defensive tool early. Monty's claws open the most areas. Roxy's eyes are needed last for the true ending path.

Walkthrough Overview

⏰ 12:00 AM — The Beginning

Gregory is trapped in the Pizzaplex after closing time. Glamrock Freddy finds you and becomes your protector. Explore the main atrium and learn basic mechanics: hiding in Freddy, using charging stations, and avoiding S.T.A.F.F. bots.

⏰ 1:00 AM — Daycare

Navigate the Daycare area. Meet Sun/Moon. When the lights go out, survive Moon's pursuit. This is one of the most intense sequences in the game. Stick to the play structures and keep moving.

⏰ 2:00 AM — First Upgrade

Head to Chica's area. Navigate the kitchen and loading docks to reach the trash compactor. Lure Chica in and defeat her to get the voicebox upgrade for Freddy.

⏰ 3:00 AM — Monty Golf

Explore Monty Golf and Gator Golf areas. Navigate the catwalks and use the voicebox to stun Monty. Defeat him in the splash zone to obtain his claws. Use the claws to access previously blocked areas.

⏰ 4:00 AM — Roxy Raceway

The Raceway is Roxy's territory. She's the hardest animatronic to defeat because of her tracking ability. Use the go-kart sequence to damage her and obtain her eyes. With all three upgrades, Freddy is at full power.

⏰ 5:00 AM — The Choice

With all upgrades collected, explore the deeper sections of the Pizzaplex. Discover the old pizzeria hidden beneath. This hour is critical for which ending you'll get.

⏰ 6:00 AM — Ending Time

At 6 AM, you can leave through the main entrance for the basic ending, OR stay and explore the underground area for better endings.

All 6 Endings Explained

⚠️ SPOILER WARNING

The following section contains major spoilers for all Security Breach endings.

BAD ENDING

🚪 1. Leave Ending

How to get: At 6 AM, simply leave through the main exit without Freddy.

Gregory escapes alone but Freddy is left behind. Vanny remains active. The shortest and simplest ending — essentially a "game over" for giving up early.

BAD ENDING

🐰 2. Vanny Ending

How to get: Reach the rooftop and confront Vanny without disabling the Vanny signal towers.

Vanny overpowers Gregory on the rooftop. This ending implies Gregory doesn't survive. One of the darker endings in the game.

NEUTRAL ENDING

🔧 3. Disassemble Vanny Ending

How to get: Before going to the rooftop, find and disable all Vanny signal towers. Then confront Vanny.

With the signals disabled, Freddy is able to help Gregory defeat Vanny. She's unmasked but the Pizzaplex remains dangerous. A bittersweet conclusion.

GOOD ENDING

🔥 4. Fire Escape Ending

How to get: At 6 AM, choose to stay. Navigate to the old pizzeria below and set the Pizzaplex on fire.

Gregory and Freddy escape while the Pizzaplex burns. Vanny and the remaining animatronics are destroyed. Gregory is seen living on his own afterward, implying he's a runaway with no family.

GOOD ENDING

⭐ 5. Redemption / Save Vanny Ending

How to get: Have all three Freddy upgrades, reach the underground area, and free Vanny from Afton's control before the fire.

Vanny is freed from William Afton's influence. Gregory, Freddy, and Vanny all survive. The Pizzaplex is destroyed but the main characters are saved.

★ TRUE / CANON ENDING

👾 6. Burntrap Ending

How to get: Have all upgrades. At 6 AM, stay and descend to the lowest level. Find the old Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Navigate through the ruins to confront Burntrap (William Afton's latest form).

This is considered the true/canon ending. Gregory confronts the remains of William Afton (Burntrap) in the ruins beneath the Pizzaplex. The blob — a massive amalgamation of old animatronic parts — drags Burntrap away. Gregory and Freddy escape. This ending has the most story implications and connects directly to the broader FNAF timeline.

Survival Tips

💡 Essential Strategies

Save stations are your best friend. Save frequently at the recording stations scattered around the Pizzaplex. The game can be brutal if you lose progress.

Stay in Freddy when possible. Inside Freddy, most animatronics can't detect you. But watch his battery — it drains fast. Plan your route between charging stations.

Use the Faz-Cam and Fazblaster. The camera stuns animatronics briefly. The Fazblaster (found later) is more powerful. Both are essential for tight situations.

Explore everything. Collectibles, messages, and lore items are hidden throughout. The gift shop areas often have useful items.

Learn animatronic patrol routes. Each animatronic has a general territory. Chica likes kitchens, Monty patrols the ground floor, Roxy stays near the Raceway. Knowing this helps you plan routes.

Don't run unless you're chased. Running makes noise that attracts animatronics. Walk when exploring, run only when actively being pursued.

Check hiding spots. Strollers, photo booths, and various containers can be used as hiding spots. If an animatronic is nearby, hide and wait for them to pass.
